Dena A. Kleeman
Lawyer
Dena A. Kleeman has practiced family law since her 1983 graduation from Stanford Law School, becoming a California Certified Family Law Specialist in 1994 and receiving specialized training as a divorce mediator in 1998. During the course of her career, Ms. Kleeman has handled complex divorce matters involving business valuation, divorce taxation, real property, and complex compensation, benefits, and intellectual property issues.
Ms. Kleeman currently serves as a judge pro tempore for the Los Angeles County Superior Court. She is a member of the ABA, the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. She served on the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Bar Association from 2003 to 2004 and currently serves as vice-chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Family Law Section, and is currently chair of its’ Family Law Symposium subcommittee – a signature annual training program for lawyers and adjunct professionals. Ms. Kleeman has been named one of the top Family Law Attorneys in California by Super Lawyers since 2006. She is a member of the Association for Certified Family Law Specialists (ACFLS) and a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).

Ruth S. Kremen
Lawyer
Ruth S. Kremen is an expert family law attorney with a broad and distinguished background that includes public service as well as law. Ms. Kremen graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1983. From 1983 to 1984 she was a law clerk for Honorable William B. Bryant of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Following her clerkship, she was litigation counsel at the Boston firm Nutter, McClennan and Fish.
Moving to California in 1985, She practiced general civil litigation including business, intellectual property, real property and family law, with the firm McGlashan & Sarrail in San Mateo. She moved to Los Angeles in 1991, limiting her practice to family law. She currently serves as a family law settlement officer and a Temporary Judge with the Los Angeles Superior Court. She has served as board member and President of the Child Care Resource Center of Los Angeles, a volunteer with the Harriet Buhai Center for family law and currently volunteers with Minds Matter Los Angeles, preparing high school students from underserved communities for entry to a four year college.

Michael Perez
Paralegal
Michael Perez is a Paralegal with Kleeman Kremen Family lawyers. Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked as a law clerk at a private civil litigation firm conducting legal research, drafting motions, mediation briefs, complaints, meet and confer letters, and discovery. Michael received his B.A. in Communication Studies from UCLA in 2015 and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2020. During his time in law school, Michael served as a member of the Public Interest Law Foundation, a student-run organization invested in fostering the careers of students dedicated to assisting those traditionally underrepresented in the legal system. Michael also participated in the Street Law Teaching Practicum, wherein law students, under the direction of Judith Schwartz-Behar, esq. (attorney at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law), taught domestic violence survivors living in transitional facilities about landlord-tenant legal issues, the legal rights of employers and employees, financial literacy, protective orders and family law concepts.

Janice R. Jackson
Legal Assistant
Janice R. Jackson is a Legal Assistant at Kleeman Kremen Family Lawyers. Janice has over 15 years of experience in office management in the legal field and has worked in several law firms and the Beverly Hills Bar Association. Her focus at Kleeman Kremen Family Lawyers is in Client Services, as well as to oversee the day-to-day administrative functions of the firm and offer support to each attorney.
